Description:
Holland & Holland Cased Dominion Grade 500/465 Nitro Express Sidelock Ejector;
that was finished at the factory on Sept. 11, 1911. Rifle was returned to the factory
for re-regulation in Feb. 1931, at which time the barrels were re-blacked as well; according
to the ledger record. Action is a third bite with bushed strikers. Barrel black remains at 94%.
Action retains strong traces of original case color. Rifle was originally built as a right hand
rifle. A left hand stock by J J Perodeau was recently added without any alteration to the original
configuration or the original stock. J.J. also fitted a red dot optic sight into the open sight dovetail
without any alteration to the gun as well. Bores are in excellent condition with tall square cornered
rifling throughout the entire length. This is a totally sound rifle in all aspects that shoots very
accurately. Ready for another lifetime of service. I have far more photos of this rifle in both it's
right and left hand configurations. Just ask.
