Here is a very good and rare Colts Patent bullet mold for the Army Colt, military inspected by Albert H. Kirkham. It has very clear Colts Patent and 44H markings. The military inspector marking for Albert H. Kirkham is very plain except his middle initial H which is a little light. It has a grayish-brown patina, and a few handling marks where wedges were tapped out. It has near-perfect cavities and the early-style, rounded sprue cutter. I have been collecting both Colts and Colt accoutrements for many years but I have been able to buy only 2 of these AHK inspected molds because of their rarity. You will find these same military markings on some of the amory 1860 gang bullet molds. Very rare and desirable Colts Patent bullet mold.
