C&R Here we present an Iver Johnson Hammerless Top Break Revolver in .32 S&W, made circa early 1900s in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Iver Johnson was a U.S. firearms, bicycle, and motorcycle manufacturer from 1871 to 1993. The company shared the same name as its founder, Norwegian-born Iver Johnson (1841–1895). Iver Johnson & Martin Bye both cut their teeth with Ethan Allen, then started their own company in 1871. The company continued to operate until 1993. This revolver was designed to be small and concealable for self-defense in the years leading up to the Roaring Twenties. This revolver is chambered for 5 shots of .32 S&W. The top of the barrel is marked “IVER JOHNSON ARMS & CYCLE WORKS/FITCHBURG, MASS. U.S.A.” The patent information on the bottom of the grip is double stamped. The grips are marked with the company initials and an owl’s face on either side. This one comes in its original picture box, which remains in very good or better condition. The overall condition is fine. 90% of the original nickel finish remains. The case colors remain strong on the trigger. The markings are clear. The trademarked grips are in fine shape. The bore is very good with sharp rifling. The action (trigger/hammer) is strong, however, the trigger reset must be done manually as there is a weak spring preventing full reset. The cylinder also has a tendency to come out with the pressure from the star extractor when the gun is opened. The threads are a bit thin. Still, quite the looker in the original picture box! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 3 inches. Caliber: .32 S&W Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $650 #190053 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
