Description:
ORIGINALLY manufactured circa 1873 to 1878   "Old Model Russian"  is easily recognizable by the spurred trigger guard.  The Second Model Russian was manufactured with a 7 inch solid rib barrel ...
The serial number  "35723"  is marked on the butt and the matching assembly number "594" is marked on frame, the cylinder , barrel,  and barrel latch.   Directly behind the serial number is a double stamped diamond with a double stamped "S" and an "H" inside the diamond. 

The top of the rib is marked   "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD. MASS. U.S.A. PAT. JULY 10.60. JAN. 17. FEB. 17. JULY. 11 65 & AUG. 24. 69. RUSSIAN MODEL"    All Nickel finish with casehardened hammer,  trigger guard,  and trigger. 
The Condition is Very fine. The revolver retains 80% UNCLEANED or Buffed  Original Nickel finish with some flaking on the muzzle,  cylinder,  breech end of the  barrel, lug and top strap,  and on the edges of the grip straps. There is a smooth dark patina on the exposed surfaces.  There is some speckled flaking on the frame. The hammer shows 40% dark original case colors, while the trigger guard has a smooth mottled gray patina. The Grips are Fine overall. The Barrel Marking is clear. The Action is Fine.
