This very nice 6 shot revolver is a Smith and Wesson 19-7 1994 357 magnum revolver with a 4" barrel. This little used 25 year old S&W Combat Magnum beauty works either in single action or double action, and shoots 357 Magnum Loads as well as 38 Special Loads which is what I prefer. This revolver also includes it's original box with matching serial numbers and paperwork. The box is marked Spec.Ord. 4004. The walnut grips for this revolver were removed and replaced with Hogue Grips in 1994 when the revolver was purchased brand new. The hammer and trigger are both heat treated for superior strength. Also included is another Hogue Monogrip that fits Smith & Wesson K and L Frame Square Butt revolvers that might have came with this Model 19. The Walnut Grips are still in 100% like new condition even after 25 years sitting in the original box. The bluing is very nice with no holster wear, no marking at the muzzle from improper cleaning, this revolver has Zero dings or pitting with only a very slight ring around the cylinder caused by friction from the cylinder stop from use. There is also a line of bluing wear where the cylinder meets the frame when the cylinder is closed, from a lack of grease application on that spot, but not visible when the cylinder is closed of course.This model is equiped with the orange front sight blade insert and the fully adjustable rear sights with the white border on the sight. The features marked on the box are TS-RR-WO. This Model 19-7 is also drilled and tapped for a scope to be mounted. Other than the Gunsmith at Shelly's Sporting Goods switching the grips this revolver was untouched mechanically by anyone else except for a professional cleaning by a Florida Gun Smith.. This revolver was kept meticulessly clean before and after shooting. The top part of fthis revolver has a factory non glare finish instead of bluing. Also included is a solid leather HKS speed loader belt holder that holds two speed loaders in like new condition which are also HKS No 10 to use when hunting and included with this sale is an MTM Case-Guard lockable hard plastic carrying case. This Smith & Wesson Model 19-7 is a beauty and has worked flawlessly with never one let.down, and beats the new S&W so called Classic hands down in overall craftsmanship and design. In my opinion the S&W Model 19 deserves to be on the top of the heap of all revolvers. Law enforcement men and women carried these Model 19s for many years until the semi-automatic pistols with large bullet capacities came along. The Model 19 S&W though will never jam from a spent shell casing or weak ammo and also can shoot any 357 magnum or 38 special cartridge out there, worry free. If six rounds isn't enough capacity use the included speed loaders to increase the capacity to 18 rounds. Besides all that this revolver is beautiful and fun to shoot.
My wife bought this Model New in 1994 and I just bought a small stubnosed 38 Special for her to conceal carry. She wants to sell this Model 19-7 and put the money towards a Bass Boat for us. God I Love That Woman !!!!!
I just put the like brand new Walnut Grips back on this hand cannon. It's the first time they have been back on the revolver since it was new in the gun display case at the sporting goods store. You can't beat the walnut grips for looks but the wife loved the Hoague grips to tame the recoil enough to be able to shoot 38 special rounds comfortably.
This revolver has never been holstered, never been in the rain or bad weather, never been quick fired or mistreated and cleaned immediately after every outing.. This revolver has only been used a hand full of times and only at indoor ranges. This revolver has not been used for range fun but twice in the last twenty years. The photos are not good at all to do not do justice to how nice this revolver really is. I cannot take a photo worth a dang to save my life.
Also I included a CLUB trigger lock with two keys for use, if you may have children at home and feel the need for extra safety to go along with the lockable hard plastic carrying case., and a slightly used Hoppe's Pistol Cleaning Kit and Storage Box for .38, .357 and 9mm Calibers.
