Description:
This is a real nice example of a well kept model 1907 .351 cal. self loader. This is a take down rifle with a 5 round magazine, that works on a blow back design to chamber the next round. The stock and forearm are made of walnut, and are in excellent condition for the age of this gun, with no cracks or repairs, and only minor hunting knicks. The butt plate is in near mint shape, and fits nicely to the stock. The gun takes down and reassembles as it should. The receiver shows little original blue, which is common for this era, but has not been buffed, as evidenced by the clear proof mark and S/N. Gun has never been drilled and tapped for a scope mount, and has the factory tang sight holes. Looks as if there was a tang sight installed at one time, but removed with the holes left open. The remainder of the metal finish would rate a strong 85-90% with clear script and proof mark. The S/Ns match both halves of the gun.The bore of the 20" barrel is in excellent condition. Gun comes with a near mint original magazine. Not collector grade but quite a nice example.
