Description:
Serial #8101, 7mm Mauser, 29" barrel with a very good bore that has mild freckling within the grooves. This is an “OVS" marked rifle that never had the Chilean crest added to the receiver, and retains 70-75% of the original blue on the barrel, receiver, and other metal furniture. The bolt latch retains about 75-80% of the original bright fire blue, and the non-matching bolt has an armory bright finish with plum-brown freckling throughout, but heaviest on the handle. The stock has numerous minor handling marks and surface blemishes scattered about the remaining original oil finish. The rifle is accompanied by a correct, but non-matching cleaning rod. This is a great looking OVS Mauser, in very good-fine condition, and an example that escaped having Chilean markings added. FFL or C&R
