"U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor .45-70 caliber rifle. Barrel has a gray patina. Stock is good, shows handling wear. Cartouche is nice and sharp dated 1886. Carved below breech is the initials S.O.J.�. Bore is shiny and bright. There looks to be three bulges in the barrel. Not safe to shoot.
