Description:
Serial #S209823, .357 Magnum, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an early production revolver that retains 98-99% of the original bright blue finish with only some trace fading at the sides of the muzzle, a small area of silvering at the heel of the butt, and a mild turn-ring on the cylinder. Additionally, there is some red paint added to the Patridge front sight for better visibility. The hammer and trigger have nearly all of their original color case-hardening remaining with some mild gray fading along the edges. The checkered S&W target stocks are correct, but numbered to a different gun on the interior, and are in excellent shape with almost no wear or flattening of the points. This is an excellent example of a desirable, early Model 27 .357 magnum, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL
