This is a Bern-manufactured, double-set trigger, sharpshooter rifle that has retained about 95% plus of the original blue finish with scattered small spots of plum-brown patina on the sides of the receiver and barrel. The metal has some mild silvering at the muzzle, as well as along a few of the the exposed edges as well. All numbers are matching, and the walnut buttstock and forend have minor surface scratches and small blemishes evenly scattered about the otherwise excellent original military oil finish. Additionally, there is a linear bruise on the right side of the wrist that that runs along the axis of the rifle. An original cleaning rod is included, and an original spare firing pin is housed under the buttplate. This is an excellent example of a rare and desirable Swiss military rifle.
