Description:
Serial #2703, .310 Cadet, 25" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some thin freckling about midway down. This is a “COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA" marked rifle with kangaroo on the receiver, and retains 85-90% of the original blue finish with silvering along the high and exposed edges, as well as some thin plum-brown along the balance. The walnut forend and buttstock have numerous minor handling marks and light blemishes in the armory reapplied military oil finish, along with some minor impact marks and small with-the-grain cracks around the forend pin. A still sharp and legible “CMF / SA" property stamp is present on the right side of the buttstock (Citizen Military Forces / South Australia). The mechanism is tight and fully functional, and a sliding front sight hood is installed. This is a fine example of an Australian marked Martini Cadet rifle overall. FFL or C&R
