Description:
This carbine shows multiple signs of being Confederate issued. It is a .50 caliber with a 20" barrel. The mixed serial numbers are typical for 1st. Model Maynards and falls within the range of those shipped to Miss., Ga. and Fla before hostilities began. The condition of this carbine will rate as "Confederate Fine". It is complete, including the vernier tang site and is all original. Markings are clear and distinct. The mechanics are excellent, including the feeding arm for the tape primer. The bore is pitted with signs of rifling still apparent. The paper label is still inside the patch box and is still partially readable.
