Description:
This a .12 gauge side by side Damascus barrell shotgun, 28 inch barrels, with two triggers, believed to be manufactured in 1892.  The choke measures .726 and would be considered skeet.  It is a fowling gun.  The shotgun was owned by Dr. E.R. Troxell, a preceptor for the Columbia University School of Medicine in the 1880s and 1890s.  Includes Dr. Troxell's original leather case.  (The leather on the case is deteriorating and the nose is gone from the case).  It includes the Patented Crystal Indicator windows on each side, showing whether the barrell has been fired or not.
