Description:
Custom Springfield 1903. This is a 1903 built on a high serial number Rock Island action and with a Nickle steel bolt --  so it’s safe to shoot. I used an original 1903 Sporter stock, a proper Lyman 48 sight and had this rifle built to look like the Armory built 1903 Sporter, complete with case colored target blocks for a Unertl scope and the proper and hard to find barrel band.

I had the original NRA Sporter barrel contour copied by Bench Mark barrels of Arlington, Washington and I asked them to build it in 220 Swift. They did a great job and put a 1:8 twist in the barrel. Look at the stock, its an original and it’s pretty wood too. Round count in the 220 swift barrel is under 100.

I will probably regret not keeping this but I recently got my Hepburn after waiting three years , with DSTs and in 225 Winchester, that was beautifully done in nice wood and even tastefully engraved with period style engraving and case colored. The Hepburn has an octagon to round Lilja barrel and is scoped with a Unertl.

Both rifles shoot very well but I will be shooting the Hepburn and other single shots much more. Plus there is a single shot 2R Lovell that I am trying to buy…. The photos are accurate but they do not do justice to the rifle. If you have any questions let me know. Must ship to an FFL and shipping is 40$, via Fedex. I will cover the difference if its more. Credit cards add 3%.
