WW2 1944 Danish Brigade/Police Marked Husqvarna M40/S Lahti 9mm Pistol Complete Rigs. In 1944 the Danish Government in exile began training select refugees in London known as the Danish Brigade to fight in WW2. M40 Lahti Pistols from the Husqvarna firm were pulled directly from Swedish Military stores and issued to the Danish Brigade and were designated the M40/S. These Danish Brigade guns were serial numbered in the 64000 to 74000 serial number range. The rear of the frame on these guns are stamped with "S.S." inspection mark which stands for Capt. Sten Stenmo. These Lahti M40/S pistols served the Danish military and police well for decades until being sold off as surplus. These examples are serial numbered 68628, 68629, and 68630. The pistols have (Rplt S) police markings on the right side and the rack numbers are consecutive and sequential to the serial numbers. These are in very nice condition overall, have all-original finish, and all the numbered parts match. Each gun comes as a "rig" with an original holster, 2 extra original magazines, an original cleaning rod, and an original tool. All of the controls work as they were desinged to, and the pistol is 100% functional. These M40/S Lahti's seem to be harder and harder to find each year with their values keep climbing higher and higher. If you have been looking for a nice all-original and complete example for your collection one or all of these would be a superb choice. We have three available with consecutive serial numbers and sequential rack numbers. All three are in nearly idententical condition. They are available individually or as a set.
