This has the more scarce & VERY Desireable 2 1/2" the Short Barrel with a Mint Bore, It was Made in 1974 which is the Frist Year of the Model 66. = (without the-Dash number).
Plus these Features: Stainless Steel Finish, Pinned barrel, Recessed cylinders, Black Adjustable Rear & Red insert Front sights. plus Black Checkered Rubber Finger-Grooved Grips, with a smooth action.
*NOTE*: Pg 231 S&W book: = In 1974: The Model 66 Stainless Steel K-Frame Revolver with the Short 2 1/2" Inch Barrel And Round But, was First Introduced in 1974. This Collectable is a FIRST-YEAR Model 66 ; 2 1/2"inch Barrel Production Pistol.
In other words: The Model 66 in the 2 1/2"inch barrel length with the round butt was NOT made before 1974 ! This is a Hard to find FIRST-YEAR Production 2 1/2"inch Collectable. These were the First Short Barrels. …. 99% $1195
