Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: Not being able to keep up with the massive amount of demand during WW2 for his famous fighting knives, Bo Randall agreed to a deal with William Larsen from Springfield, Ma. to manufacture a Model #1 Fighter with a 7.75" inch clip-point blade using Randall's name on the blade. Only about 1100 of these "Springfield Randalls" were ever produced during the war, and today are one of the most sought-after Randall made fighting knives of WW2. This particular example is beautiful and in excellent overall condition, most likely having been returned to the Randall shop and reconditioned at some point post-war. The blade is factory-sharp and mirror-bright, with beautiful lines and a perfect tip. The original handle is constructed with leather washers and 7 colored spacers, with a fighter-style double crossguard and a metal pommel with a drilled steel nut on the end for a lanyard that doubles as a "skull-cracker". This Springfield Randall comes with the original leather sheath which is in excellent condition, complete with an original sharpening stone in the front-mounted pouch. All of the stitching is original and 100% tight, as are the original steel staple reinforcements at the throat. Here is your chance to own a rare and desirable World War 2 Randall fighting knife in beautiful condition. SOLD |
