Description:
This is a beautiful example of a Remington Rand M1911A1 Army pistol, made in 1945. The gun appears unfired and was probably never issued as the WWII came to an end. The serial number places it in the last 15000 Remingon Rand 1911 pistols made. Toward the end of the production, the parkerizing started to have a slightly greenish hue on the frame and slide with small parts still showing more gray-black color. The gun is all correct and original, retaining about 99% of its original parkerizing. It has a correct Flaherty barrel with mint bore. There are a few minor rubmarks present on the front grip strap and on the high edges hear and there. The ordnance cartouche is nice and sharp on the right tang. This would be difficult to upgrade late war example. FFL or C&R where permitted.
