*** SOLD *** Made in 1965 this 16 gauge AyA Model No. 2 has 28” barrels with 2-3/4” chambers and is open choked making it a deadly and sweet handling upland double. Perfect for grouse, woodcock and quail. *** This early version of tne No. 2 is pretty hard to find. It combines the hidden third fastener of a Model 53 with the engraving of a No. 2. The frame is beautifully case colored and has hand detachable sidelocks and disc set strikers. There is some slight finish wear on the bottom of the frame from normal usage. The double triggers have a front articulated trigger with a rolled edge trigger guard - All hallmarks of a high grade gun. Weight is 6lb 9oz *** Bluing on the barrels is good with just a few very minor scratches and some thinning.. It has a raised solid cross hatched rib. The right barrel has a constriction of 0.002 for Skeet choke. The left barrel has a constriction of 0.006 for a light Improved Cylinder choke. *** The straight grip stock is nicely figured and has a splinter forearm. Stock dimensions are 1-3/8” by 2” by 15-1/4” over a 5/8” leather pad. Cast off for the righthand shooter. *** This is a great handling upland gun --- not too light to be whippy – just the right heft to make it a lethal weapon for the skilled upland hunter. *** I am an FFL and will need a signed copy of your dealer’s FFL license.
