NAPOLEONIC WARS ERA GEORGE III TOWER FLINTLOCK INDIA PATTERN BROWN BESS MUSKET W/ IRISH DRAGOON REGT. MARKING CIRCA 1805-10. 39” smoothbore .75 cal. barrel with Royal Ordnance proofs at breech. Stamped on top “H. D. N. L. MILITIA” and with rack numbers engraved on the butt plate tang. Lock marked “TOWER” with the Royal Cypher and the Ordnance acceptance “CROWN/BROAD ARROW”. All original and excellent condition. Markings in perfect condition and nice crisp medium grey metal patina. Stock is extra nice with the original finish and crisp Inspector’s and Storekeeper’s stamps. Working order and excellent bore. Ramrod an old period replacement with matching patina. Superior example and reasonably priced.
