***SOLD*** High Standard Mfg. Co. Model B .22LR semi automatic pistol, made for the US government throughout 1942-43, 100,6XX serial #. These pistols were made for and shipped directly to the US Government for use as training pistols for GI's during WWII. The pistol has "Property of U.S" stamped on the receiver and top of the barrel, in addition to the crossed cannons ordnance stamp on the receiver. The pistol has hard rubber monogrammed grip panels, and a thumb safety as well. The pistol is in excellent condition and appears to retain a large amount of its' original finish, with small areas of finish loss, shown in the photos. The pistol shows some signs of use, however appears to have been very well cared for over the decades. The pistol includes its correct 10rd magazine.
