Very good condition and guaranteed original WWII Nazi German RAD (Reichsarbeitdienst-Nazi Labor Corps) hewer that has the early Carl Eickhorn manufacturer trademark on the left side of the blade. Blade has nice original bright finish and light sharpening marks. Edge has a few small nicks. Right side has nice clear engraved “Arbeit Adelt” (Work Enables) motto. Hilt has original silver finish with attractive patina. Stag grips have a good tight fit and no damage. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard. Body has original black anodized finish showing some wear to attractive plum brown patina. Throat and tip have original silver finish with attractive patina. A really nice original RAD hewer that will make an excellent addition to a collection. Persona Note: Just received a phone call unknown number from someone cussing me out for selling German WW2 items. I collect WW1, WW2, and Civil War. All sides. I do not condone atrocities by anyone but do appreciate the historical value of relics.
