Description:
MB1 Trap shooting Championship belt buckles made of gold and silver. These are two very nice belt buckles circa 1970s, won by Felix Fischer for trap shooting in the CSTA – H.O.A. Club. One of the two is a world championship buckle, so he obviously was one helluva good trap shooter! There are about 24 photos here, so look them over as carefully as you can because I cannot remove the coins from the buckles to see the denominations of the smaller coins, but the larger is obviously a $20 St. Guadens standing liberty dated 1924 …and all the coins appear to be in very decent “circulated” condition and the inscriptions all look to be on 14K gold backgrounds as well. The smaller coins look to be (as best as I can determine) to be two Quarter Eagle $5 Indian heads dated 1915, and one Half Eagle $10 Indian head dated 1912 and all the coins are mounted in 14K gold bezels on the highly engraved silver buckles. The four small red stones on the World Champion buckle may be garnets or rubies ….or may just be cheap red glass, but the buckles themselves do look to be (I think!) solid silver. Now it’s obvious that the value is more in the four coins, but there MAY be some value in Felix Fischers accomplishments and his championships ….but I’ll leave all that to someone else to do their own investigations. Suffice to say there is both the raw gold and silver value here as well as the American gold coin collector value. You will be getting BOTH buckles for $2350 plus $35 postage/insurance.
