Description:
In May 1999 Merkel introduced the 147EL side by side shotgun in 12, 16, 20, and 28 gauges. Merkel is one of only a few manufacturers in the world still producing the traditional 16-gauge shotgun. The classic 147EL is stocked in luxury grade Turkish Walnut, and features the same excellent craftsmanship found in all Merkel side by sides. Like the Model 147E, this model is detailed with a hand engraved hunting scene on the silver-greyed receiver, plus it contains light scroll engraving on the barrel, and "EL" inlaid in silver on the top lever.
