A rare Winchester model 53 in 44-40 with the takedown option.Built in 1925,the 2nd year of model 53 production,this rifle is one of fewer than 1000 in this configuration.The rifle is in excellent all original condition.It retains 90% of the original blue and 95% of the original wood finish.The bore is bright and free of any rust or pitting.The stock is sound with no cracks or damage.This is a very rare Winchester in this caliber with the takedown feature.A nice addition to any collection and a fun rifle to shoot.I would consider trades on quality rifles or shotguns.C&R eligible.
