Description:
Here is a Zimmer Schuetzen Rifle made by Gohring of Germany. This functional piece of artwork was made for indoor beer garden shooting in Germany. It is a highly accurate and specialized target gun that uses a readily available 4MM cartridge. This gun has a 27 1/2" barrel, however the actual barrel that the cartridge travels is only 7". It is loaded by opening the lever and inserting a cartridge. Cocking is in the traditional way by the lever rapping around the trigger guard. The lock system is a typical set configuration with pulling of the rear trigger to set the front trigger. The front trigger has a pull of less than 1 oz. The sights consist of a rear peep sight, rear fixed sight and blade front sight. These guns were typically heavy, and this one tips the scales at 9 LBS 3 1/4 OZ. Shipping is $65 and will be shipped in a Plano Style Plastic Case. Antique can be shipped directly as local law allows.
