S.N. & W.T.C. U.S. Model 1861 Contract Musket. Metal is in the bright, as cleaned. Does have surface pin prick pitting in some areas. Proof mark are sharp and crisp. Barrel and lock plate both dated 1864. Stock is in great condition, shows minor handling and storage wear. Great looking Civil War era musket. Only a few thousand of these contract muskets were manufactured.
