Antique 1850s EUROPEAN SxS DOUBLE BARREL Pistol
.41 Caliber Percussion Double Barrel Self Defense Pistol
Here we present an antique European Double Barrel Percussion Pistol, made circa 1850. This would have likely been intended as a self-defense gun. The grip is solid walnut. The underside of the barrel is marked with a “5”. In a day when the single shot pistol was the standard, this side by side percussion pistol would have been a very handy self-defense weapon to have around, having two shots to fire off instead of the usual one!
The overall condition is fair. The iron parts are gray and lightly pitted throughout. The grip has been repaired. The smooth bores are dark and rough. The actions are both strong.
