Antique 1850s EUROPEAN SxS DOUBLE BARREL Pistol
.41 Caliber Percussion Double Barrel Self Defense Pistol
Here we present an antique European Double Barrel Percussion Pocket Pistol, made circa 1850. This would have likely been intended as a self-defense gun. The grip is solid walnut. The underside of the barrel is marked with a “5”. In a day when the single shot pistol was the standard, this side by side percussion pistol would have been a very handy self-defense weapon to have around, having two shots to fire off instead of one!
This pistol has been “deactivated” with the drilled holes in the barrels. The overall condition is good. The iron parts have a dark patina. The grip is in good shape. The bores are dark and smooth. The actions are strong.
