COLT, Single Action Army, Custom Engraved “The Roving Gunslingers”, .45 Long Colt, 5 ½” barrel, Factory Nickel Plated, 2nd Generation SAA, Circa 1970. Custom engraved in deep, hand cut scroll & horse heads by master engraver, Bill Johns of Cody Wyoming. Past owner’s name, Chuck Monell engraved on back strap. The title THE ROVING GUNSLINGERS engraved on right side of barrel. Signed by engraver Johns with his initials B.J. on the frame. Stag grips. Oak & velvet presentation case w/ key lock. The Roving Gunslingers were a traveling group of SAA exhibition shooters originated in Northlake, IL. Includes Colt Letter of Authenticity. Originally shipped to Jerry’s Gun Shop, Brookfield, Illinois, November 1970. Condition; Mint & test fired only. This Colt SAA is quite stunning and has a very interesting provenance.
