Winchester 1886 45-70 Govt 24" Octagon barrel, takedown . Upgraded wood from factory. This gun was built in 1895. Comes with the letter from the cody firrearms Museum.This rifle is built on the original black powder receiver and was converted to a take down at the factory during the first two years of the conversions. This rifle is sitting right at 50% of the original finish and still has some of the original color case harding on the hammer and the lever. This gun is in great shape the bore has been inspected and stated to be in great condition. flip up express rear sight. This gun is a take down model and works absoulety flawless.
