SUPERIOR SHARPS U.S. MODEL 1863 CONVERSION .50-70 CAL CARBINE. 22 “ barrel with original Lawrence patent rear and block front sights with the front blade replaced with half of an old dime. All original and in excellent condition with 90% plus of the original blue and much of the original case hardening colors. Stock and forend with all the original finish and a mint U.S. Ordnance Inspector’s cartouche (DFC) on the left side of the butt. Crisp Sharp’s patent dates on lock plate (Oct.5, 1852). Excellent plus bright bore with perfect rifling. Tight working order. Extra nice Civil War Sharps altered to cartridge during the Indian Wars.
