Description:
Serial #D217462, .38 Special, 4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very nice, pinned barrel revolver whose metal surfaces retain 85-90% original blue with some silvering at the muzzle, along the sides of the topstrap, and on some of the high edges. There are a few other minor handling marks, a moderate turn-ring on the cylinder, as well as a small, unobtrusive import mark on the underside of the barrel. The color case-hardening is still strong on the hammer and trigger with only some trace gray fading along the edges. The checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions are good-very good overall with light handling marks, and minor flattening of the points, especially on the left side. The lock-up is tight and the revolver rates fine-near excellent condition overall. FFL
