This is a very nice Smith & Wesson Model 3 American Second Model, Caliber .44 S&W American. it has an 8" top-ribbed barrel with a pinned blade front sight. Has a very good bore that shows some light pitting. Serial number is #26902 and according to the factory letter, that is included, was sold on December 1, 1873 to M.W. Robinson Co. , New York, NY. It was shipped with 110 other units and they were billed at the wholesale price of $15.00 each. Serial number is marked on Butt and on Grip panel. The Assembly number #26 is marked on latch and back of cylinder. Action is strong and seems to work as it should . Indexes properly. Has lanyard ring. Finish is all brown patina with some blue patina in protected areas of trigger guard. Buyer Pays $20.00 shipping to the lower 48 states. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check.
