STEVENS DIAMOND No. 43 Single Shot .22 C&R Pistol
Light & Handy .22 LR with 6 Inch Barrel
Here we present an antique Stevens A&T Diamond No. 43 Single Shot .22 Caliber Pistol, made circa 1910. This pistol was the second edition of one the company produced beginning in 1886. It features a single shot of .22 Rimfire LR, tip-up barrel, a built-in extractor, and single action. Pressing the button on the left side opens the action. This pistol was intended for a very small, very simple target or plinking gun in the early 20th Century. Its small size and simplicity also make it a great teaching tool for children.
The left side of the barrel is marked “J. STEVENS A. & T. CO./CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A.”.
The overall condition is good. 25% of the original blue finish remains. There are a couple areas of light pitting. The markings are clear. The grips are in great shape. The bore is bright with good rifling. The action remains strong.
