.45-70, #20469, 24 inch barrel, blue finish, walnut stock and forearm, steel butt plate, redfield receiver sight, standard barrel sights, 2 extra holes in barrel, circa 1880's
no letter but appears correct, marked "J P Lower" on barrel.
Condition: strong rifling with black powder oxidation, 60% blue overall thinning, excellent wood with military style butt, excellent mechanically, very good marks.
