Description:
CDI Imports SVT-40 7.62x54 RIM WW2 Era Soviet rifle. This SVT-40 the preferred model following the SVT-38 features a two piece wood handguard and stock with integrated cleaning rod below the barrel. Vented forward metal barrel shroud for cooling and protected front sight ring post with fully adjustable rear sight elevation designed for 1500 meters. These rifles are accurate, reliable and also utilized a folding magazine release paddle to not obscure the shooters manipulation of the rifle. Rugged and durable this rifle pictured is in original condition with serial numbers of original institution matching throughout the wood and steel. Importer information is small and doesn’t draw attention away from the original condition. Wood is smooth with frequent but very minor surface scratches or dings. The actions and functions are positive and feel very clean and crisp considering its age. Metal shows wear on the finish creating a beautiful classic look that only time can produce on a firearm of the era. Boasting incredible accuracy these rifles were effective and efficient.
