Wilson Combat Tactical Elite custom shop build in 45 acp. This gun was ordered back when I was one of the largest WC dealers in the US and was my 'signature build'. It was a build I built for myself through much trial and error and came to love to shoot more than any 1911 I had ever owned. I then ordered ones just like it and waited over a YEAR for them to arrive for clients. The turned down brake lug on the front of the barrel made just enough front weight to negate muzzle rise and jump and produce the nicest shot to shot recovery I had ever experienced. You see this done today with many builders using 6" barrels to which I ask-'why have all that length'? The answer is it is much easier to build than this. Look at the tolerances on the slide to lug- the hand work involved to create these is not simple. This build is LOADED with other custom features. Combat Night Sights, Checkered front strap, Front Cocking Serrations, Filed Slide Top, Filed Rear Slide, One Piece Guiderod, Magazine Funnel, Ext Mag Release, Armor Tuff Coated, Starburst G10 Grips all with original paperwork, test target, ALL of the MAGAZINES SHOWN and QC paperwork. This was a time when 3 different gunsmiths did QC and fired each custom shop gun before they left- a VERY DIFFERENT TIME. No signs of use or abuse.
