ORIGINAL NAPOLEONIC WARS ERA FRENCH MAUBEUGE MFG. FLINTLOCK PISTOL DATED 1811. LENGTH 9 3/4" OVERALL, 5" BARREL, .60 CALIBER. METAL HAS ORIGINAL FINISHES THAT HAVE AGED TO A PLEASING PLUM BROWN PATINA. SMOOTH BORE IS CLEAR, VERY LIGHT SURFACE OXIDATION THAT WILL CLEAN AND VIRTUALLY NO PITTING. NUMEROUS MARKINGS ON VARIOUS PARTS. WALNUT STOCK IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, NO CRACKS, LIGHTLY CLEANED AT SOME POINT WITH FAINT TRACES OF CARTOUCHE STILL VISIBLE. ACTION WORKS EXCELLENT, CRISP & ROBUST WITH 2 CLICK HAMMER THROWS PLENTY OF SPARK, APPEARS SHOOTABLE & COULD BE RETURNED TO SERVICE IF WANTED. ORIGINAL RAMROD IN PLACE.
