Description:
SN 5917 is a post WW1 Lee Enfeild dated 1929 and built at Enfield. This MK III shows all matching serial numbers on the bolt, sight and nose cap. This is an unusual example that was built in 1929 a date much later then the standard production of the MKIII rifle. The serial number suggests that this was an Enfield rebuild. The barrel shows a 1920 date . The rifle shows a very good, shootable bore with light corrosion. The rifle is fitted with a mag cut off and stock disk both discontinued prior to 1929. A variation for the Enfield collection. overall blue/brown finish and sound wood.
