Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This 450 Dakota African has a very nice upgraded walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut fleur-de-lis checkering, an ebony forend tip and ebony cross bolt plugs. The receiver, bottom metal (drop belly straddle floorplate), grip cap, 30mm quick release Talley rings and bases are case colored. The bolt handle is rust blued and the remaining metal is matte blued. A foliate arabesque pattern engraving with gold inlays covers a large portion of the metal including the receiver, bottom metal, grip cap, Talley rings, bolt handle knob, quarter rib, barrel band and front sight. A raised yellow gold bull elephant with white gold tusks adorns the floorplate. A single blade quarter rib rear sight and banded, hooded front sight with flip up night sight sit atop the 24” barrel. The satin finish stock has a Dakota Arms recoil pad that yields a 13 5/8” length of pull. The front barrel band and rear inset sling swivel studs make installing a sling a snap. Weight is 9.9 lbs. There are a couple of very minor rack marrs in the stock on the left side above the trigger. Factory test fired only. Weight is 10.2 lbs.
