Sold...LF...A fine used Pre Model 10 Smith & Wesson 38 Special revolver, 5 screw, factory nickel finish that was issued to the Detroit Police Department in the 1940's. Factory engraved on the backstrap " Detroit Police 10127". This was obviously a Detroit Detectives sidearm. The revolver has a 2 inch barrel. Locks up tight as a vault and has perfect mechanical function with no issues. Original factory nickel finish remains at 90%+...a small rub by the trigger guard on the left side is the only spot with any significant wear, probably from holster wear. Grips appear to be later replacements. Excellent bore!!! Shipped from FFL to FFL or C&R. USPS priority mail is 15.00
