Remington Type II model 3 derringer, .41 rf. By the serial number (345) this is a late 1880’s or early 1890’s derringer. The nickel finish that was re-plated some time ago. The grips are some sort of a composition material in an “aged” ivory color. Mechanically the gun works very well, strong spring; cycles well between top and bottom; good trigger pull; lock-up is just good. The bore is pitted but the rifling is evident and the gun is shoot able. The hinge was broken and repaired before the metal was refurbished.
