ENGRAVED Martini Style SCHUETZEN C&R Target Rifle
Suhl, GERMANY 20th Century Long Range Competition Style Rifle
Here we present an antique Schuetzen 8.15mm x 46R Target Rifle, made by Fr. Jung & Sohne circa the 1920s in Suhl, Germany. This rifle features a beautifully engraved and distinctive butt stock with a generous cheek piece. Both the grip and the fore grip are sharply carved, with the fore grip checkered. The trigger guard is large and is designed to be used as a pistol grip. This rifle features double set triggers that provide an extremely light and crisp break. The receiver is nicely engraved, and the stock carved. The barrel is 28-3/4 inches long and octagonal with a rifled 8.15mm bore. This is a fantastic set up for shooting long range and promises to be a lot of fun today.
The overall condition is very good or better. 90% of the original blue finish remains with vibrant case colors. The markings are clear. The carved stock shows handling and remains solid. The bore is in fine shape. The action is excellent. Here is an incredible example of German craftsmanship from the 1920s!
