Nice example of a 3 digit serial number (558) Henry 1st Model Rifle built on a brass frame, fitted with a 24 inch barrel, walnut stock with brass buttplate (with trapdoor), lever latch, slotted receiver with ladder style rear sight, and chambered in .44 Rim Fire. The gun is in fine original condition. The bore is shootable, but with minor corrosion throughout. Toe of butt is chipped, but the trapdoor is tight and functions perfectly. The action appears to function perfectly, though the loading spring binds up. If this gun could talk, what story would it tell?
