Start your collection today.....Offering a wonderful circa 1880's Japanese Ivory Carving of a seated Geshia with a fine detals in her flowing robe, hair, stool,and hands. Much of this detail is scrimshawed . Cross hatching is evident. This old carving has attained a very rich patina. Measures 5 inches with original carved to fit wood stand. Glass dome is not included due to shipping issues.
I have had numerious Japanese carvings but never a seated lady. Estate item. Understand it was brought back by a G.I. from occupied Japan. email any questions and Good Luck.
