When John Olin wanted to have title to the strongest side by side shotgun in the world, he went to work and got it done.  The Model 21 is an American icon with a well-deserved reputation.  A handsome gun built with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure.  IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN.  FOR THOSE THAT SHOOT HIGH VOLUME BIRDS OR CLAYS, THIS IS YOUR GUN!  With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm.   Search the internet and you will see lots of 12ga. guns for sale.  Most will be Standard Grade or Skeet Grade guns with some wear on them and most are generic looking Model 21’s that are hard to get excited about.  This fine Model 21, sn26054 built in 1951, is a gorgeous special-order Winchester Model 21 with 30” barrels with factory 3” chambers and long taper forcing cones made for magnum waterfowl loads or standard loads.  The extended forcing cones reduce felt recoil and provide better patterns than the factory tapers.  The Cody Firearms Museum information sheet shows this gun was ordered as a Model 21 Duck, a special gun made for long range, heavy loads. This gun has been upgraded to #5 factory style engraving, nicely done, with stunning highly figured English style stock and a beautiful leather covered pad.  The water table, barrel flats, and forend iron have been nicely jeweled, making this custom upgraded Model 21 a gorgeous looking gun.  The previous owner had Briley thin-wall screw-in choke tubes installed and the gun comes with 7 chokes for lead shot and 2 for steel shot that are choked .005 and .015 for shooting waterfowl over decoys.  The gun is housed in a fine leather case complete with Winchester trade label and accessories.  There is a nameplate on the lid, and we will have a new one installed with your initials as part your purchase price.  THIS IS A LOT OF GUN, WITH THE BEST UPGRADES, FOR A VERY GOOD PRICE, ready to pursue all your hunting and clay target sports.  What a great gun for vintage clay target shoots with the versatile screw-in chokes!  The gun is in perfect mechanical order and the finishes are all as new with no flaws.  The owner spent a lot of extra money making this a very desirable Model 21 with all the upgrades already done for you…no work needs to be done to this gun…she is ready for action.  A nicer set you will not find, and we have priced the gun to sell, so don’t hesitate on this one!  Thanks for looking.
