This is a spectacular all-original and all-matching 1968 Norinco Paratrooper SKS made by the government's Triangle 106 factory in China. This SKS is like-new and minty, likely never fired since being imported into the States. These compact SKS models were intended for paratroopers or mounted cavalry/tanker troops that spent a lot of time in cramped quarters. The standard 20" inch barrel was shortened to 16" inches and the folding spike bayonet was modified as well. All of the other parts of the gun will interchange with the regular rifle version of the SKS. This particular gun is serial number 1301899 and was built in 1968. The original factory blue finish is pristine and bright, rating 98%plus. It really looks just like it left the factory yesterday. All of the numbered parts are matching and original including the bolt, dust cover, trigger guard, magazine housing, and gas tube. The folding spike bayonet is in mint condition. The bore in the 16" inch barrel is mirror bright and pristine, with perfect sharp rifling and no visible imperfections. The factory stock on this Paratrooper SKS is like-new and minty as well. It is free from any cracks, chips, dents, wear, or repairs, and the factory laquer is 100% intact. All of the stock hardware is intact, including the buttplate with the spring loaded trap for the cleaning kit (which is inside). All of the controls on this Norinco are in perfect working order, and the action is slick and locks up perfectly. This SKS should function just like the day it left China. If you have been looking for a "collector grade" Paratrooper SKS here is your chance. We rarely run across these guns in such pristine condition, much less one made by the Triangle 106 factory that is C&R eligible.
