Description:
This is a beautiful Chinese SKS made by one of the Norinco factories in 1991 and imported pre-ban by GLNIC in Los Angeles, California. It is stamped on the left side of the receiver "Made in China by C.G.A." with CGA = Chinese Government Arsenal. We are not sure why these were marked this way but it most certainly was made by one of the Triangle numbered arsenals owned by Norinco. This SKS was bought new in 1991 and fired at the range one time prior to being put up into storage until now. The original factory blue finish rates 97%, with the only deductions coming from a few tiny spots of prior surface rust that have since been removed. The worst of these spots are on the metal buttplate. As you can see from the pictures, none of these deductions detract much from the extremely clean overall look of the gun. The chrome-lined bore in the 20" inch barrel is minty and mirror bright, with no visible imperfections whatsoever. The original stock is in like-new condition, free from any cracks, chips, wear, or repairs. The factory applied varnish is 100% intact and the left side of the buttstock is numbered to the gun. All of the stock hardware is intact and tight to the wood. All of the numbered parts on this SKS are matching, including the bolt, receiver, and stock. Unlike many other SKS rifles, the triggerguard, magazine housing, and receiver top cover came from the factory un-numbered on this variation. The original folding spike bayonet is in like-new condition and is riveted to the gun rather than attached with a screw. All of the controls on this SKS are in perfect working order, and the action is smooth and locks up tight. This Chinese SKS should function flawlessly. As mentioned in the title, this SKS comes complete with the original box, the Styrofoam insert, the owner's manual, and the original Chinese military sling. If you have been looking for a super clean, high-condition SKS for your collection this example would be an excellent choice.
