The receiver is deep relief engraved with 6 ducks in a marsh scene on the right, a dog flushing pheasants in a field scene on the left with scroll patterns surrounding both sides as well as the bottom, trigger guard and forearm hardware. The lower left side is signed "GR".
Luxury grade, oil finished, full figured English walnut is used to make a beautiful straight grip stock and matching forearm. The gun is housed in a green canvas case with leather corners and a leather label afixed to the inside of the lid. The original Merkel box numbered to the gun es with this purchase.
